Hello and welcome to my page!
For as long as I can remember, I have loved music. Growing up in a musical home several genres have a place in my heart. I started piano lessons at the ripe age of five years-old and continue to study.
While piano is my main instrument, I enjoy learning about other instruments. This has led me to learn the accordion, flute, and various percussion instruments.
Teaching is something I find myself drawn to again and again. The joy of seeing understanding spread over a students face or rejoicing with them when they finally conquer a difficult skill will always be a thrill! I am an active member of the National Music Teachers Association and the Iowa Music Teachers Association.
In addition to teaching, I am also a church musician where I play piano and percussion. I also participate in Pella’s Tulip Time playing the accordion for the Dutch Family Singers.
The more we learn about our God's creation, the better we can glorify Him. Music is part of that glorious creation and I look forward to sharing it with my students!
